Alfred Jones Jr. Fund
From 2009 until his retirement in 2013, Alfred Jones served as Executive Director of Centre Foundation, where he served on the board for five years prior. During his tenure, Centre Foundation began hosting Centre Gives, its annual online giving event, which Alfred characterized as a “home run” for Centre County. Alfred attended Dickinson College before earning his law degree from Duquesne University and then practicing law for 37 years, including 19 years as a partner at Delafield, McGee, Jones, & Kaufman. Alfred continues to be an active community member, serving on the board of United Way, Community Help Centre, Sounds, The Center for the Performing Arts Advisory Council, and Centre Care, Inc. In his spare time, Alfred enjoys Spikes games, local productions, fly-fishing, and spending time with his wife, Cindy, children, and grandchildren. As members of Centre Foundation's Campbell Society and through this fund, Alfred and Cindy's dedication to our community will continue. This discretionary fund will be used to support Centre Inspires, an annual grant that encourages transformative community engagement.
