Centre Foundation is pleased to announce that Desiree Fralick, Esq. has been named the 2018 Board Chair. As Attorney and Shareholder with The Mazza Law Group, P.C., Desiree brings with her both valuable professional and personal experience. Having been an active community volunteer and working with clients and estates to establish funds at Centre Foundation, Desiree was nominated to serve on the board in 2013. Since then, she has held the positions of 2nd Vice Chair and 1st Vice Chair, and has sat on the Executive, Governance, Grants, Audit, and Centre Inspires Committees.
“Having worked with Centre Foundation in both my professional life and my volunteer work helps me to have a unique perspective to understand the Foundation from both inside and outside the organization,” said Desiree. “I’m also passionate about the work Centre Foundation does to better the lives of those in our Centre County community.”
In addition to her work with Centre Foundation, Desiree is also involved with other Centre County organizations. She is a member and past officer for both the Centre County Bar Association and the Centre Region Estate Planning Council. Desiree is on the Advisory Board for Student Legal Services at Penn State and is the incoming Secretary for the State College Area High School Girls’ Soccer Booster Club.
“Centre County has such a beautiful diversity of people and landscape. Besides the numerous professional opportunities that it offers, I also appreciate the personal, cultural, and social opportunities,” said Desiree. “You can hike, bike, or get outdoors during the day and then attend an event at any theatre in the evening. If you can’t find something to interest and engage you in Centre County, you haven’t looked.”
In her spare time, Desiree enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching her daughter play soccer, training for and running races, and attending various Penn State sporting events.
